In this episode, we’re leaving Penpac with our projects complete and head into the Deschutes National Forest. Simple, right? Not with us! Come check this video out to see what mess we got ourselves into THIS time!
Stuff we used
GoTreads XL – These come in handy, especially in sand. We used these on the sand then added the yellow blocks on top to keep them from getting buried. This worked surprisingly well!
Agawa Saw – If you watched the video, we used this QUITE a bit when we were on the wrong trail. It helped us get our tall rig through, and helped trim up the trail for others! 😄
Previous Videos we mentioned 📽️🎞️
From Radiator Drama to DIY Makeover: Our Rollercoaster Journey ✨#truckcamperlife | e165– This is where we try to make a fix to the front jack but our solution didn’t quite work
Exploring Kofa National Wildlife Refuge & Tire CHUNKS | e114 – where we got new tires but also got ourselves onto an ATV trail
Where We Stayed⛺🗺️📌
Penpac RV (Redmond, OR) – (Google)
While not really a campground, the owner (Dan Penington) does allow people to stay in their campers while Penpac is fixing your rig. We saw last year several folks from the Truck Camper Rally come here.
If you have a truck camper OR have fiberglass repair needs, Penpac is the place to go. It’s not pretty but they get the job done and at a fair price.
Where We Explored🚶🏻👀
Not much beyond our camper and Penpac RV!
Where We Ate 🍽️🍔🌯
Grace and Hammer (Redmond, OR) – (Google)
If you’re in Redmond, the pizza and ambiance at Grace and Hammer are worth heading over. It’s a converted church and a lot of outdoor seating. I personally loved their cocktail selection and Gary was always able to find something on their respectable beer selection.
Our Camping Locations 🛻⛺
If you’re interested in seeing all the places (overnight, dining, sightseeing) as well as FREE boondocking locations we’ve been to, check out our Google Maps travel map! Enjoy!
