This is the place you’re sitting for meals. And relaxing in the evening watching YouTube videos, or scrolling through endless Instagram posts on your phone. So, this place better be nice and comfy!
I put together a video of a lot of our organization tools, and walked through some of the items that are on the list below.
The below links are mostly Amazon links to products I’ve purchased and am using in our truck camper. Feel free to peruse – hopefully, some of these items will make sense for your rig (or future rig) as well!
Small (500W) Inverter – I have this currently located on my fireplace mantle near our 12V outlet. This has come in handy when we are boondocking and I want to both use my laptop and conserve energy. I will keep my main Victron inverter OFF and use this small one just to power the laptop. It uses less amperage to keep me running. It’s a small amount but if we’re boondocking for more than a few days, that extra efficiency can add up!
Decorative Pillows – Great for additional lumbar support when sitting on the recliners and at the kitchenette. Matches well with the gray/brown leather.
Shoe Organizer (set of 2) – We put one of these on the kitchenette wall area and another in our bedroom. works great for gym shoes, sandals, and slippers
RecPro Recliner – We made a whole video on the removal of our old recliner and installing this new one. The level of cush for your tush is SO much better, but it’s not a drop-in replacement. So make sure to watch.

Govee Temp / Humidity Monitors – We have one by our dinette table, one in the basement, and one outside. Bluetooth but also nice small screen. Still looking for a screen to display 4 temp monitor. These are cheaper than the ones I use in the refrigerator & freezer since I don’t need an alarm based upon the temp.
RecPro Air Conditioner – We updated our air OEM air conditioner to this RecPro low-profile quiet AC. There are obvious benefits (it’s really quiet) but some challenges (humidity). Before jumping in, make sure to check out our first video and video update after chatting with RecPro. We also made a 1-year video that has a bunch of tips and tricks as well!

Midea Dehumidifier – We were looking for a dehumidifier that would be big enough to make a difference and small enough not to take up so much space that you feel you’re moving it EVERY. SINGLE. MINUTE. This is a great compromise. When it’s working it’s large (13.5″x 13.5″ x 26″), but when you’re ready to stow it, it’s like nesting dolls – pretty sweet. And BOY does it suck out humidity. Really happy with this unit so far! We store this in our shower when not in use.
Lagun Table – This purchase made our L-shaped table a little easier to manage. I will say that I still tend to only sit here (we have dinner usually on our recliners) but it can be done. It would be easier as a “C” couch but then we couldn’t have recliners! All about compromise. I really do like this mount so we can move the table completely out of the way without removing it (like the OEM) and it feels like so much more room. We talk about the installation in another one of our videos. DON’T BUY THIS ONE ON AMAZON – THEY’RE KNOCKOFFS! Oh, and we added a second video showing some modifications (since the table was moving a bit more than expected).
STUFF WE’VE TOSSED (OR GIFTED, OR DONATED)
Light Bulb Replacement LEDs – We purchased these back in April of 2021. These worked pretty well for a little over 2 years. We started to get flickering on one or two in April 2023. Now in June of 2023 probably half of them are flickering. Time for a new option. But, based upon the cost of these, it wasn’t so bad. I still would have preferred the natural light ones to the warm ones we bought (though Gary would disagree – he liked the warm light).
Battery-operated Candles (tossed) – Inexpensive way to add a ton of ambiance to your camper. We have them on the fireplace, and they’re awesome. They will come on daily for 6 hours. Buy some rechargeable AA batteries and you’re golden! Aug ’22- Our last candle bit the dust – with a combination of falling on the floor or getting too much water from the kitchen or bathroom sink. Though I’m still considering getting a pair again for the fireplace…
Rechargeable Cabinet Lights (tossed) – I have 1 of these lights in the storage about our recliners. They work well but will need to be charged regularly. Not awful, since they are USB-chargeable. These are mounted on a magnetic strip, so you just take it down charge, and put it back. Aug ’22 – Updated the cabinet lighting to switches and LED rope light.
TV Remote Bin! (Sold) – While you *COULD* keep your salad dressing between your recliners, this works better to store your remote controls if you have the Cascade dual recliner seats. Fits *PERFECTLY* on the lip of the storage bin and can easily be removed to access everything below the bin. Make sure to get the 10x4x5 bin. Apr ’22 – Gave with the Host recliner when we sold it. We upgraded our recliners to the RecPro recliners.
Sags Away Recliner Support (sold) – If your recliners are a little saggy, this helps increase the firmness. A great solution instead of spending $ on new furniture. See our video about our thoughts on this product. Apr ’22 – The Host OEM recliners were sold and these went along for the ride.
