Throughout the year, we will visit my parents at their seasonal campsite in Coldwater, Michigan. We like going there to visit family and it makes it even better that there’s a ton of activities to do together!
Waffle Farms is located near Coldwater, Michigan right on a chain of lakes. You can get both seasonal and transient sites on the water (but BOY do you have to be quick on reservations!). They have a private boat ramp that makes it quite easy to get your boat into the water, and they have a large area to park your trailer.
We’ve gone up several times during the 4th of July, and they have bands brought into the campground, they have their own fireworks (which makes it even better being on the water), and many other activities for both kids and adults.

What we love most is the ability to take out boat out on the lakes. The kids love the tubing and skiing options, while Gary and I love to sneak out in the mornings to fish and see the sun rise.
